Congratulations to Clinic Student Governor Brendan Manning

On Saturday, February the 11th, the Fourth Circuit of the Law Student’s Division of the American Bar Association held their Spring Meeting & Governor Election at the Charlotte School of Law.  Law students from North and South Carolina attended the event.  The morning session of the meeting focused on non-traditional Juris Doctor Degree career paths with panelists ranging from a city manager to a retired judge now working as a mediator.  The afternoon session focused on the life of a judicial clerk including how to obtain such a position, as well as work-place expectations.

Following the two informational sessions, the Fourth Circuit conducted the elections for the Governor Position of the Law Student Division with candidates from both North Carolina Central University and the Charlotte School of Law vying for the position. After speeches and a question and answer session, Brendan Manning, a Charlotte Law student, was elected as the new Governor for the Fourth Circuit.  Brendan is a Member of the Civil Rights Clinic, President of the Order of the Crown Scholastic Leadership Society, and a Member of the Charlotte Law Review.

Congratulations to Brendan on his new appointment!
